Help Welcome. You can learn and search Korean words by using this web application, so you can analyze the connections between any words by using a neural network. You'll find brief informations here by opening, selecting and arranging words, adding new ones and by setting of the program options. How can you use this program? Click on a lesson, select one or more words, add new ones using the "add" button, delete some of them, arrange them by their shapes or intonations, print it - and at the same time you're learning.  back Opening lessons You can open a lesson by clicking on it. You can open multiple lessons by clicking on the rectangle on the right. In this case, you can open a maximum of 250 words. Opening words If you click the top-middle part of a word, you'll open it. If you click again, you'll close it. If you move the mouse over the corners of the sheet, more control button will appear. The functions of these buttons are as follows: - detailed description - examples - tags - listening to examples - listening to the word opened - display the radicals in textual form - display the radicals in graphic form - display the word in graphic form If you choose the "radicals in textual form", some Chinese characters may appear. These small characters are connected with the opened word. They can appear in four different modes: a.) 火 - the radical is the character itself b.) "火" - the radical similar to this character c.) (火) - the radical is a part of this character, too d.) {火} - the radical is similar to a part of this character Some buttons can be disabled, noted by darker color. Sometimes you see black dots at the bottom of the sheet. You can open special images or links by clicking on them. The shortcuts of the most important functions: you can display the "detailed description" by clickling the pinjin, you can "display and listen to the examples" by clickling the top of the sheet, and you can "display the radicals in textual form" by clicking the bottom of it. Selecting words If you click the bottom of a word, you'll select/deselect it. If you click to an empty place, you'll deselect all words. If you move the mouse with continuously pressed left button, a selection circle will appear, by using it you can select more words together. Arranging You can click right to the characters to set an arranging condition. A small horizontal stroke signifies the selected condition. If you click the "character", the program will arrange all the words based on the similarity of their shapes. If you click the "meaning", it will arrange the words by different types of meaning based connections. See the "Adding new words" section for more. If you click the "intonation", it will arrange the words by their intonations. In further demands the given conditions are based on the tag groups. In connection with the arrangement you can find more options at the "Settings" button. Buttons If the mouse is staying on a button, the function of it will appear. These function are: - Restart: the neural network is randomly restarted - Settings: see below - Start - Stop: starts/stops the neural network - Add: adds new words to the selected ones connected. If there're no selected words, add new ones to all of them. (see below) - Delete: deletes the selected words - Print, Mobile (the big bean shaped button): If you click the top of the button, you can create the printable images in A4 size, 300 dpi resolution. Print the words to the fore side, print the second image to the backside of the paper. Then if you don't know a word's meaning, just raise the back side of the paper towards te sun... If the characters cover each others by chance, before printing you can move the selected words by directing the keyboard arrow keys. If you click once anywhere, the rectangular placement symbols will disappear. If you click the center of the button, the program will generate the one sided image in A4 size, 300 dpi resolution. If you click the bottom of the button, you can create the images for smartphones and tablets. - Invert: invert selection You can change the "Size" and "Distance" parameters by pressing the mouse button on the right and moving up and down. See the Settings section to see more informations. Adding new words You can determine the condition of adding new words. The default setting is the arranging condition of the words formerly, but you can change it here. The other settings are self-evident. If you choose a specific meaning type (p.e. synonym), the words will be ordered only according to this one. To switch it off, simply click on the "meaning" button. The added new words appear in blue color, which means selected state like the red one. Settings "Size" means the size of the words, "Distance" defines how intensively the arranging condition affects the distance between the words. If you change it for a smaller value, similar words will move nearer to each other. You can provide, whether the program adds words similar or identical to the radical of the original one, too. The next setting defines whether both characters have identical radicals or an added character itself is a part of the original. "Refresh" means the refreshing time of the screen, while the neural network is working. The slow-down is self-evident. "Size" refers to the size of the words. If there are many words, you can set this value smaller, so the words won't cover each other. Question mode means the test mode, the pinjin and the meaning will disappear.In this case, you can see the hidden data and the detailed description by clickling the top of the sheet. Search You can look for words by different conditions among them. If you search for a radical, the name of it will appear at the right side of the result table. If you search again, the result will be an intersection. ("both a and b radicals are the parts of it"). All the conditions can be deleted by clicking on the radical. Questions and Answers Q: I have Firefox 4 and my browser reloads the application again and again. What can I do? A: Switch on Private browsing.
